3 person Tent Construction

Objective: Build a tent out of 5 plastic trash bags and a roll of packaging tape that can hold 3 people in it while inflating with air from a leaf blower.

Background. In this scenario, the students have crashed and landed on a deserted planet far from earth. The atmosphere is similar to earth, but when it rises, the moon of this planet has a death ray that can kill humans. Luckily the students were able to salvage from their rocket ship 5 NASA trash bags, a roll of tape, a leaf blower, a power source, and scissors. The trash bags can protect them from the moon's death rays.

They have two class periods to construct a tent.

Winding Down Work on Tiny Home

Today, unfortunately, it was one step forward three steps backward. Trying to finish the touching up of the paint. It takes concentration so that you don't touch the other paint colors than are on your brush! We are getting it done.

With the paint winding down, other students have been working on the electrical, insulation installation, and painting the metal cap.  A couple others are making a door for the four-legged creature pen.

Daniela repainted trim where someone else had gotten white paint on the gray paint.

Jorge finishing the metal cap painting

Carlos lent a hand in installing the wall insulation.

Ashim making up an electrical outlet

Josh measuring out a piece of 2x4 wood for a door and Dameon working on a special project.
